General Mountain Safety
The alpine world is a place of extremes in all aspects, hot, cold, windy and calm, crystal clear and foggy all in one afternoon. Because of this we recommend that all visitors to this wonderful part of the world come prepared for the worst possible conditions.
Useful equipment includes:
- Warm hat
- Warm layers of clothing
- Windproof/waterproof outer layer
- Warm gloves or mittens
- Protective eyewear (sunglasses or goggles)
- Sunscreen
- Sturdy boots, ski or snowboard boots
